Hello,
Regarding Federal Form 2210 - Underpayment of Estimated Tax: I paid the remaining tax due on 3/10/24 through the IRS website, and I entered this date in Box D. Now I'm ready to submit my Federal return electronically. However, Turbo Tax is preventing the electronic submission unless I enter today's date or later in Box D. The only two choices to clear Turbo Tax's red exclamation point (error) that I can see are: 1) remove the March date, in which case Turbo Tax calculates a larger penalty, or 2) check Box C to have the IRS figure the penalty, which decreases the amount due on the return and means the return's balance due will not match what I already paid. Neither choice is accurate and Forms View doesn't appear to allow me to override Box D to reflect the date I actually paid. Is there another way to override Box D so that Form 2210 is accurate? If not, how should I proceed?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yes, there is an alternative.
You can enter it as an estimated payment on the date you made the payment. Then you can file your tax return with the current date.
