2019 Turbo Tax Business LLC members did not import into 2020 Turbo Tax Business

LLC member information did not import.  Turbo Tax will not let me add a member without classifying the LLC has having a change in members. The discussion boards show this is a problem for many in 2018 and 2019 but this is the first time I have experience this issue. I have not seen any discussions for 2020.

When this occurs, the reason is typically an issue with the prior year's tax file.

If you can inspect your 2019 return in TurboTax Business, check for any members who might have been indicated to have left the partnership or otherwise were indicated to no longer be members.

I checked 2019. I did not indicate that the second member left the LLC. I am still have the problem of being unable to enter the second member.

I think I figured this out. (this is a 2021 return)

Open the prior years return. Switch to Form mode and find the K1 for the missing partner.

At the top of the page you will see two check boxes: Final K-1 and Amended K1.

The Final K-1 was checked on my missing partners K1. I unchecked it. Saved the prior years return (2020 in this case) and started the 2021 return over.

Worked for me.
