I need to update my daughter's Scholarships Amount for 2018 and I'm having a problem. I inadvertently entered the amount for 2019.

It sounds like when preparing the 2018 return, you accidentally used your daughter's 2019 scholarship information instead of her 2018 scholarship information. If that's the case, you will need to amend the 2018 return if you already filed it.

Select the 2018 link for specific amending instructions.

Keep in mind: You have 3 years from the date you filed your return (or 2 years after you paid the tax due, whichever is later) to file an amended return, which means you don't have to get it done by the deadline.
