the excess deferral was $549.40. The refund document was for $576.73 which includes taxable income of $27.33. I called the plan and they said they would be sending a 1099 January 2019 since they distributed my excess 03/09/2018. Do I put the $549.40 in miscellaneous income since I won't have a 1099 for 1 year? The document I received shows 2018 Tax Information - Net Amount withdrawn $576.73 with a taxable / ordinary income of $27.33. When I try the 1099 route I don't have all of the information requested (e.g. Payer / etc.)
