2016 I bought turbo tax and used it now for 2017 can I use the same software?

No. Because TurboTax is built for a specific tax year, you'll need TurboTax 2017 to file your 2017 tax return. There is no way to update your TurboTax 2016 (or earlier) software to handle the 2017 tax law requirements.
