2/8/18 Government shutdown

Will refunds be issued on 2/8 or 2/9 if the government shuts down?  I've noticed on this site that people have a dd date of 2/8/18.  Has anyone gotten a dd date of 2/9/18 yet?

It is hard to say for sure how a Government Shutdown on 2/8/18 will affect the IRS.  Fortunately, if you E-File your taxes, most of the process is automated, so it shouldn't be affected too much.  However, people who choose to mail their Tax Returns could face significant delays because processing of paper filed returns would come to a complete halt.

It's 5:02am on 2/9 and the government is shutdown.  The House is trying to vote again by 6:00am so they can rescind the shutdown.  I guess that's why they didn't issue DD for 2/9.
