1099R form has changed since first filling it out

I have been waiting for a fix for a bug on the Arizona Form 323 for well over a week. When I started TurboTax today I saw there were updates to Arizona, but none that fixed my original issue. Apparently there were also changes to the 1099R form. Now I receive errors on the two 1099R forms I have. One is related to a pension plan from which I receive benefits and the second is from a traditional IRA. The error relates to RMD amounts. There is no RMD in regards to pensions. I do not see anyway of designating this form as relating to a pension plan instead of an IRA. How can this be fixed???

I was able to remove the error on the IRA 1099R. I would like to file my taxes, but bugs keep popping up preventing me from doing so. Please let me know how to fix the pension form.

Pension plans are subject to RMDs, it's just that you never hear about that because the pension payments always satisfy the required distributions for the pension.

Edit each 1099-R again.   Updates to the software have introduced some new questions that are supposed to help the RMD calcs and questions.

But yes, the regular payments you get from a pension provider are considered an RMD (once you reach age 73).......you just have no control over the amount...that was pre-determined by the provider when your pension payments started...but TTX doesn't ask about them until you reach age 73.

This is the first I have heard of this. In the over 20 years I have been receiving this benefit, I have never had to indicate anything regarding RMD. And this did not exist on the form when I filled it out a couple of weeks ago. It came out of thin air in the latest update. I have plugged in the amount I received as the RMD, indicated that it was an "Other" "Type of account", and that removed the error. I am still waiting for the fix to Arizona Form 323 so I can file everything.

BTW, if I save everything (all forms and worksheets) to a PDF, nothing below the "Qualified Charitable Distribution" section shows up for the 1099R forms.
