I received a 1099NEC, and the only number is in box 3. However, Turbotax online never asks me or gives me the opportunity to enter info from box 3. Because of that, I run into two issues:
First, when it asks about expenses related to the business associated to that 1099 NEC, I enter them but it says I have to fill in the income from box 1 for it to finish calculating the expenses. But there is nothing in box 1.
Second, I instead purchased the Turbotax desktop version, then manually filled in Schedule 1 box 8 for the "Other Income" (that is the only way I could find to record the info from 1099NEC Box 3). But when I do that and try to complete, TT tells me that I shouldn't manually enter any information on those forms because it prevents checks and reviews of my efile. But since TT never asks me about Box 3, I don't see any other way to do that, what am I missing?
