1099-Q as a dependant

I received income on a 1099-Q that was used for educational expenses, as shown with a 1098T. However, since I am a dependant, TurboTax seems to think I should pay taxes on the 1099-Q income. Is there a way this can be reported correctly through TurboTax?

1099-Q as a dependant

Whoever is claiming you as a dependent should report both the 1099 Q and your 1098 T on their tax return. They will indicate that the 1099 Q was received for a dependent in their tax return.
