I entered income from1099-NEC.  In the review, it shows it linked to Schedule C but it also shows Schedule F but I don't see a link.  It says I can only have one and have to delete the other.  I don't see any way to delete any link to Schedule F.  How do I delete the link?

It looks like it is creating the farm by itself.  I followed those instructions and deleted the farm.  When I run Smart Check, it goes right back to the same place.  It still says that I need to delete one of the links.

To remove Schedule F and related worksheets, here are the steps:

In TurboTax online,

  • Sign into your account, select Pick up where you left off
  • From the left menu, select Tax Tools, click on the drop down arrow
  • Select Tools
  • Under Other helpful links, choose Delete a form
  • Select Delete next to Schedule F and related worksheets and Continue with My Return

You will need to enter the information in both Form 1099-NEC and Schedule C sections.  Please remove Schedule F.  IRS treats you as self employed and requires you to pay self employment tax.  The net profit amount will show on line 8 of your Schedule 1 and Form 1040.

I had initially said that I had no expenses to deduct.  That was correct but it kept coming up with the error.  When I told it I had expenses but just didn't put any in, it worked perfectly.

Thanks.
