1099-B Is Correct but TurboTax reads stock name and shares incorrectly. How to edit?
My broker's 1099 is written correctly. I downloaded it into TT desktop. On Form 8949 and other related pages, TT omits the number of stock shares sold and cuts off the beginning of the stock name. I believe it is due to the stock name having an ampersand symbol, as everything before that symbol has been omitted. TT only shows what's after the ampersand on my form 8949. My question is how I go about properly editing the stock name and adding back the number of shares, without causing issues? Thank you.

1099-B Is Correct but TurboTax reads stock name and shares incorrectly. How to edit?
It's really not necessary to edit your stock sales. The IRS has the same forms you have which means they will put that together just as you have. You can also do the following if by some chance TurboTax doesn't ask you to. In all likelihood, IRS doesn't recognize this sign (and many others) in their field requirements for filing a return.
If you are e-filing your tax return, then mail your statements (1099-Bs or other document showing detailed sales information) along with Form 8453 to:
Internal Revenue Service
Attn: Shipping and Receiving, 0254
Receipt and Control Branch
Austin, TX 73344-0254
If you need a blank Form 8453, you can download this pdf, enter your address information and check the box for Form 8949 (this form is really just a cover sheet)
