It depends. You technically did not need to amend the return, but only produce the forms. (Amending the return does accomplish that). If you have mailed in the entire amended return, you can choose to wait. If you have not mailed it in, then only send the IRS the 1095-A and the 8962 with the attachment on the letter. (You should be able to fax this if you choose). Even if you mailed in the amend, you can still do this, and allow the IRS to process your return faster. The IRS will disregard your amended return when they see your account reflects the 1095-A and 8962.
