1041 final filing problem

For 2017 I filed my deceased father's 1041 for his estate-trust and thought I was finished since there was no income after 2017 and all trust funds were dispersed.  But I have gotten estimated tax forms for the trust.  I don't recall receiving this forms in 2018 or 2019 but may have.  Looking back I see on the 1041 for 2017 I indicated it was the initial filing but I didn't check the final filing box as well.  Do I need to do something to alert the IRS that the trust is dissolved?

You should file a return with the final box checked to put the irs on notice.

Thank you!  So, to clarify, should I use the current 1041 form for 2020 with just zeros for income, deductions, etc.?

That should take care of it.
