Do I do any special forms for my deceased mother that only had $300K in her checking account. No property or assets. Can I just do a 1040sr?

1040SR or More

You may not even need to file a return. Each situation is unique. I recommend you run through the IRS How Do I File a Deceased Person program. It is very detailed and will tell you exactly what is best for your situation.
