I took social security in 2020 while still working and did not have taxes withheld. I mailed the IRS a voucher with a lump sum on January 7th of 2021. How and where do I account for making this payment in my 2020 return?

Was it a 1040ES estimated slip? It should not have been a 1040V voucher. A 1040V might get posted to the wrong year.
You can type estimates paid in the search box at the top of your return and click Find and it will give you a link to Jump To it.
OR
To enter Federal or State Estimated Taxes Paid, including a state estimated payment made in January for the prior year, go to
Federal on left or at top. Personal (Home & Business)
Deductions and Credits at top
Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
Estimated - click the Start or Update button
A CPA told me to send it in on a voucher form. The check was marked 2020 taxes and had our joint SSN's. It was not part of an estimated quarterly payment from a prior year.
