1040 Tax Return

I have a 1099-R that has a table amount in block 2a that is $0.00. Should this 1099R be listed on my 1040 Return?

The distribution amount from box 1 should be listed on line 4a (or 5a) and line 4b (or 5b) will be $0.

Please make sure you still enter your Form 1099-R:

1. Click "Wages & Income" (under Federal) on the left
2. Scroll down and click "Show more" next to "Retirement Plans and Social Security"
3. Scroll down and click "Start" next to "IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan (1099-R)"
