When I look at the screen for the "Federal Review" using TurboTax Deluxe, it tells me that the F"ederal Taxes You Owe" is $93 more than the 1040 Form that you can see in the "Forms" section of the program (line 24). Any idea why this might be? Thanks in advance. Jon

Line 24 on the 1040 is the Total Tax and not the amount you owe. Line 24 will match the Total Tax line item in the Turbo Tax Federal Summary.
The reason that the amount you owe might even be greater than the Total Tax calculated based on income, is because there might be an estimated tax penalty which would be added to line 24.
Thanks for your response. I still think there is an error in the TurboTax software. On the 1040 form itself, line 37 says "Amount you owe" which is a subtraction of line 33 from line 24. Line 37 shows me owing $7482...but the subtraction of lines 33 from line 24 equals $7389. Either the calculation is broken, or the 1040 form itself is broken and it's really not a direct subtraction of line 33 from line 24. Something is amiss...

What is the TurboTax phone number?
Did you get a response on this. I have the same issue.
For me, it turned out to be an estimated tax penalty.
I never got a response, nor did I end up figuring it out. I just gave up, submitted my taxes and accepted the difference.
