Why did my refund not increase after entering my registration fees and contributions, as it has every previous year?

1) what software are you using...the FREE version does not allow itemized deductions

________

Beyond that:

2)  Keep putting in your deductions...only after your itemized deductions are greater than the Standard Deduction, for your situation, will anything change.

3)  If you already have enough deductions entered such that you are already in Itemized Deduction territory, then even that will stop once you've dropped your "taxable Income" to zero.
