Just did an update for Turbo Tax 2020. When prompted to continue using Turbo Tax it went immediately to "Enter License Code", which opened to software but took me back to the beginning of my incomplete return instead of opening where I left off. It appears that the return is correct according to the refund amount at the top of the page but I now have to dig around to find where I stopped before the update or review the entire return step by step to get to the stopping point from 2 days ago. Is this normal? I get concerned when software doesn't continue to perform in the same manner that it always has before and makes me do more than I have to to get back on track. I lose confidence in the accuracy if I have to go over everything again after spending so much time going through the process previously.

he same thing just happened to me. As TurboTax is already on 5 computers (I do a lot of my friend's taxes), all I got was an error message. What kind of horrible service is Intuit providing? This is really unacceptable - especially with a "long wait time" message when I call for help.
If you're using TurboTax CD/Download and have installed and activated the license number, you may receive multiple activation prompts, which results in TurboTax not launching. Click here for a resolution
how can I recover my license code? The 2021 up date was downloaded back in Nov. 2021.
Can you please clarify your question, are you working in TurboTax 2020 and it's prompting you for your license code after the update?
