Tax Calculator “What you told us” missing IRA, Social Security values

Since the recent update for the 2025 tax year when I put in my information into the Tax Calculator tool the IRA withdrawals and Social Security income that I entered are $0 in the “What you told us” Retirement section. Although, they do affect the refund/owed estimate. Investment income did show up as expected. I remember this working earlier this year. Am I missing something?

Tax Calculator “What you told us” missing IRA, Social Security values

That final screen in the TaxCaster tax calculator is very confusing. There is no place for IRA withdrawals and Social Security income under "What you told us," so they are not shown there. The IRA distributions that you entered, and the taxable portion of the Social Security benefits, are included in the total income under "Refund summary."

This isn’t something you’re missing — it’s a display bug in the latest 2025 Tax Calculator update. IRA withdrawals and Social Security income are being calculated in the backend but not shown in the “What you told us” section. Investment income displays correctly, which is why it looks inconsistent.

Nothing in your inputs is wrong — the UI just isn’t reflecting those two fields. The product team needs to patch the summary panel for 2025 data. Until then, your refund/owed estimate is still accurate.
