Return finished but there were no questions about Health insurance

Just completed my tax return but TurboTax did not ask anything about form 1095. I actually have 1095a and 1095C and we did have health insurance through the marketplace but we were never offered it through my husband’s employer. I don’t want to submit the return until I know for sure that that’s not gonna come back in affect us later.

Return finished but there were no questions about Health insurance

There is no health insurance penalty for 2022, so TurboTax does not ask. However, if you purchased health insurance through Healthcare.gov you need to enter form 1095-A.

Report your 1095-A and TurboTax will calculate the amount of credit that you might have to pay back.

To report form 1095-A:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to Federal Taxes.
  3. Go to Deductions and Credit.
  4. Scroll down to Medical and click show more.
  5. Go to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).

You don't need to report form 1095-C on your return.
