No, but if your total income from all sources for the year is less than the filing threshold for your filing status, you don't have to file a return.

Maybe I didn't ask the right answer.. Lol  We are filing a return, but my husband got one check from an employer in December and it's not worth very much. So, do I need to still claim that on part of our income, even since it was not very much....

Yes, it must be included.

Yes you do. You have to report all of your income, even small amounts, once you reach the point where you have to file a tax return. It probably won't make much difference to your taxes, though.
