Would we need to file on claims from the homeowner's insurance for damages due to hailstorms? We paid two deductibles and used the ins claim $$ to pay for repairs.

There was no loss for us. All damages were completely repaired back to their original state.

If you do not have a casualty loss, then you have nothing to report on your return.

Depending on your deductible you paid, it might be worth claiming. Generally it's not. But if you want to check it out to see if it's of any value to you tax-wise, you can enter all your information under the Deductions & Credits tab in the Casualty & Thefts section.
