@mya5112 on line 28 of form 2555 part 3 , the entry box does list countries A-L and M-Z -- in each drop down list you can also select "all other countries not listed ". Also note that on instructions for form 2555 Pages 6 through 11 covers a list of city/ country with appropriate limit on housing expenses ( daily and yearly ). Saudi Arabia is not listed. Also page 4 of the same instruction ( ref'd above ) asks one to "leave empty" line 29a, if the city/ country is not listed in the table ref'd above ( page 6 through 11 ) i.e. in such cases the default limit of 16% of of 112,000 -- for 2022 -- would apply.
As far as I can tell TurboTax ( H & B , downloaded windows , latest updates ) is computing correctly at least for the scenarios I have tried.
Does this help solve your predicament ?
Is there more I can do for you ?
Thanks for the reply.
Saudi Arabia used to be in all previoous years Turboxtax. No reason it is not there in 2022 release except that it is a bug that needs to be fixed. It should be a straight forward issue and I would not want to make changes to my form manually or choose other options.
Thanks for the reply. I did send them a note. I am just surprised that TurboTax has their contact info & how to reach them online (like chatting) so hidden which does not show good customer service.
