Why is my mortgage interest halved when entered? My bank says I paid $7,612.97 in mortgage interest last year. I entered that amount when filling out my TurboTax form, but when I print our the return, the amount appears as $3,438. What's up?

Did you use the other 50% for your Business expense?

I did not use any of the loan to refinance or for home equity. It's all part of the original mortgage loan.
