Where to input in TurboTax my In-Home nursing care after surgery
I have recently had surgery and as part of my discharge from the hospital the surgeon has me receiving nursing care for IV hydration over a two-week period.
1) I am assuming they are deductible because it is real nursing services.
2) I am paying the co-share portion left after insurance pays the provider.
Can I deduct this expense and into which medical expense category in TurboTax will I input in these expenses...part of doctors/dentists or some other place?

Enter it in any category you wish since the IRS only gets the total amount paid ... the separate categories in the TT program is just for jogging your memory and organizing your receipts.

@amdail - just remember that only the medical expense that exceeds 7.5% of your income is tax deductible (TT will figure this out)
