Where can I find church tax id number for donations

Where can I find the Tax ID number for a Church. It's not on their website.

Unfortunately, there is not a listing of tax ids. You will need to contact the Church directly and ask them.

Actually, you don't need the church's (or any charity) tax ID number to claim donations.

What you need from the church (or charity) is a receipt or letter stating :

Name of organization
Address
Date of donation
Amount of donation
Statement to the effect that "No goods or services of any value were provided in exchange for the donation."
