What goes into the box for Payer's ID on the 1099 form where the payer is a foreign entity?

The IRS said it does not issue EIN to a foreign entity and that an N/A in the box should do. Turbo Tax software does not allow that.

@mgrizz123 , did you really mean  a 1099 from a  foreign entity or did you mean a statement ( i.e. equivalent to  1099 ) showing the payments made to you  by the foreign entity ?

If it  is only a statement , then  just tell TurboTax that you are reporting self-employment income with NO 1099-misc. This should allow you to enter all the available  information and complete your filing.
