Utilities expenses for business vs. home

I have a small business for which I post my products online.  Am I able to deduct a portion of my internet bill as a business expense?  Would it go under expenses or in the home office section?

Utilities expenses for business vs. home

I assume you're filing a SCH C and reporting your business income/expenses under the Business tab in the Business Income & Expenses (SCH C) section. If so, and you claim a home office, you are asked for two types of home office expenses.
Those expenses that relate only and solely to the home office. For most, this will be zero.
Those expenses that you pay for the "whole house". You'll enter what you paid for the whole house expenses. Things like your utilities (water, electric, cable, internet, etc). Then if you elected to have the program "do the math" for you, you'll be deducting a percentage of those expenses as business expenses. That percentage will be the same percentage or less, of floor space you claim in your house, for your home office space. It depends on the percentage of business you conducted in that home office also.
