In TurboTax Business, the Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction appears under Common Business Expenses, found on the Deductions summary page. Be sure the box is empty (no zero).
Or open Form 1120-S using Forms Mode and delete the zero from Line 19.
Users encountering this situation have found this solution works when using TurboTax Home and Business:
In Business Expenses, under Other Common Business Expenses, look through that list and you will find "Energy Efficient Buildings". Select Update and delete the 0 amount or other amount that appears.
This is done in the "step by step" view of Turbo Tax, NOT in the Forms view.
Thanks so much for your answer, but where can I find this step by step in the Business version, not Home and Business? This is my LLC 1065.

It worked! Thanks!
Hi,
I’m experiencing the same problem using TurboTax Home and Business 2024. Tried to follow the directions above, but couldn’t find any section entitled “Other Common Business Expenses”. Any advice? Thank you
To remove this information in Windows:
Works perfect-thank you!
I have the same problem in TurboTax Premier. I do not find the "Other Business Expense" or "Common Business Expense" section in my Step-by-Step view. My Business Items appear in "Wages & Income" . "Business Items" . "Business Income and Expenses (Sch C)"
There is no access there to the individual lines of Sch C.
If you go through the Business Items section in TurboTax Premier, you can find the Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings deduction at the Business Expenses screen, by clicking Start or Update on All Other Expenses. It's the last entry under Enter Your Business Expenses.
