TurboTax is showing me that my Alternative Vehicle Refueling Property Credit is currently $0 after entering my EV charger ($400). I know I qualify for the credit. Ideas?

Thank you for providing your token number.  After taking a closer look, you are not receiving the credit claimed on Form 8911 due to your tentative minimum tax (Form 8911 line 17) being greater than your net regular tax (Form 8911 line 16) by almost $900.  When this is the case, no credit is allowed.

Had the same problem but when looking at the explanation my box 17 was greater than 16.

If line 17 is greater than line 16 - no credit is allowed.  @jlwimpee
