If you're having trouble entering the VIN number and TurboTax is saying that the number of characters is incorrect then go out to your car and snap a picture of the VIN number from the car itself and don't copy it from the form the dealer gave you.
If you have entered the VIN in and you're sure it is correct and the IRS has rejected your return then you need to mail in your return along with a copy of the letter from the dealer and a picture of the VIN from your car.
I agree with this advice. For 2023 dealership were supposed to put stuff up on a portal and there were issues with the portal.
