The Calculate Max contribution limit button does not work if you have Family coverage, because the calculation assumes that you get 100% of the coverage, which may not be the case.
Please ignore it.
"It says I have over contributed by $5146." Where does it say this? The code W amount in box 12 on the W-2 is treated as taxable (excess) until you have gotten into the HSA interview and told TurboTax that you have qualifying HDHP coverage. Until then, it appears as an excess contribution, as it should.
So please go all the way the HSA interview until you see the HSA Summary screen, then see if $5,146 is either tax-free employer contributions or a Deduction. If it is either one, then you are OK.
