The home energy credit will not delete

I have tried deleting the Home Energy credit, but it keeps showing up.

To delete home energy credit information in TurboTax Online:

1. Open TurboTax Online
2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
3. On the  Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the Deductions & Credits box, then select Start, Continue, or Pick up where you left off
4. On the  Your tax breaks page, scroll down and select the dropdown to the right of Your Home
5. Select  Start or Revisit to the right of Home Energy Credits
6. On the  Energy-Saving Home Improvements page, select No in answer to the question, Did you make energy-saving improvements in 2023 or have a carryforward from 2022?
7. Remove any qualifying information from any ensuing pages

If that shouldn't work, here are the steps for deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:

1. Open TurboTax Online
2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
3. On the  Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of any box in the middle of the screen, then select Start or Review/Edit
4. After more topics will generate in the left pane, select the Tax Tools dropdown
5. Select Tools
6. In the pop-up window Tool Center, select Delete a form.
7. Select Delete next to Form 5695 and follow the onscreen instructions

None of those work. It still will not delete. It must be a glitch in the system. TurboTax needs to fixt this ASAP!!

If you entered information into the program, it will not delete anything it feels is important. You have to go back to the entries and take them out. Once all the entries are emptied out, then delete the form.

Having the same issue.  I tried both recommendations repeatedly and it still wont' delete.  What do I do??

If you have already tried the steps provided in previous posts for removing all of your entries in the home energy credit section, and for deleting the forms, try manually updating TurboTax Online as explained in this help article:

If you're having trouble updating your TurboTax 2023 for Windows Individual software using the "Check for Updates" method, here are instructions for how you can get the latest federal program update:

1. Close TurboTax and all other programs except this browser window.
2. Select this link to download the 264 MB update.
3. Save the update file to your Windows desktop.
4. Double-click the update file w_perrelsuperpatch... on your desktop to install the manual update.

Logging out of TurboTax and back in, changing browsers, or clearing your cache and cookies often helps.
