I selected as you described. However I don't get to a screen with a "pencil" at the right. I do not see any section in the rental summary that has "Assets" to scroll down to. This is/has been a depreciable asset and I have used Turbo Tax since 2015 when the property was purchased. When I select "I sold or disposed of this property" under the asset it says it will handle the sale when I reach the depreciation section of the rental but it never does. If I open the form to the property Turbo Tax will not let me enter anything there either.

When you are in the rental activity in TurboTax Online, you should see 'Assets' as one of the expense categories, showing your rental already there from 2015 and assuming 2023. The details of entering your sale are simple but first you need to see the asset. You may use the information below to send us your file if you choose.
If you would like to send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information it would help. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: (Don't forget to give us the state)
TurboTax Online:
Open your return -Go to the menu panel on the left side of your return and select Tax Tools.
TurboTax Desktop:
If you like, you can send a copy of your return that will be scrubbed to eliminate your personal data by using these steps:
We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
