The home office expenses give you a deduction of $1385. However, this expense flows to the Schedule A under Miscellaneous Itemized Deductions. Miscellaneous Itemized Deductions are reduced by 2% of your Adjusted Gross Income (which you can find on Line 37 of your Form 1040).
Since you saw no change in your refund when you added your unreimbursed employee business expenses, your Miscellaneous Itemized Deductions were most likely not in excess of 2% of your Adjusted Gross Income.
