It does not matter whether she used the insurance or not, if she is on the return and was covered by insurance through the marketplace, you will need to enter the 1095-A on your joint return. After the form is entered you will be asked if this was a shared policy, select yes. Then you will be able to allocate an amount to you and her parents. You can claim 100% or 0%, they can do the same as long as it adds up to 100%. Many times parents paid the premiums and will allocate the full amount to themselves, while the kids just enter the form and allocate 0%.
Also, when you say you are claiming her on your return, I am assuming you entered her as a spouse and chose to file as Married Filing Jointly. If so, then be sure you also include all of her income on your return as well. If you listed her somewhere other than as your spouse, you will need to delete her from that location and enter her as your spouse. A spouse cannot be listed as a dependent.
