Tax credits

My tax summary shows $3600 in credits.  In 2019 I had no credits.  Where can I findthese credits?

This could very well be some Recovery Rebate Credit for missed stimulus payments on line 30.  You can check on lines 17 thru 20 and 27 thru 30 to see the credits added.  To look at a forms view in TurboTax online follow these steps.

1. Click "Tax Tools" in the left hand menu
2. Click "Tools"
3. Click "View Tax Summary"
4. Click "Preview My 1040" in the left hand menu

If you need to indicate that you have received stimulus payments already you can do so by clicking the "Federal Review" tab at the top of the page to go those interview questions. 

Any stimulus payments you actually received will reduce the amount of credit on line 30 but no lower than zero.
