T Bond interest amoung in Federal not matchign subtraction in State

Form 1099-INT Worksheet Box 3 lists interests on U.S. Savings Bonds and Treasury obligations as $300. However, on the State return Interest and Dividend Adjustments worksheet, it lists $288 as the Bonds or obligations subtraction. What happened to the $12 difference? Should the amount be automatically transferred? I'm in CA if that makes a difference
