Grandparent claiming grandchild with no earned income can I still claim for the EIC

You must have earned income to claim the earned income credit. No earned income, no EIC.

So even though my parents claimed him, I can still claim him for the EIC since I worked and lived in their house?

The did not claim the EIC on him they couldn't but he is still on their return
