Yes, the amounts you receive from a long term care policy (which is non-taxable) can not be deducted as a medical expense.  It should be deducted from room & board expenses when calculating your medical expense deduction.

Yes, the amounts you receive from a long term care policy (which is non-taxable) can not be deducted as a medical expense.  It should be deducted from room & board expenses when calculating your medical expense deduction.
