School tuition

If you received grants and scholarships that exceeded your qualified higher educational expenses (QHEE - tuition, fees, books and other required course materials, including a computer), the excess is considered taxable income to you.

This does not include  the third coronavirus relief package funding to colleges specifically designated for emergency financial aid.  That is tax free.

A. No.  That "0" only means that none of it was counted toward a credit or deduction.
