When it checks for errors it keeps showing we need to enter advance payments for the Schedule 8812. We do not have children and we DID NOT receive any payments. I've gone back through and cant find where I've checked this off. What do I need to do to fix this?

Since you are not claiming the Child tax credit, follow the steps below to delete schedule 8812 (Credits for Qualifying Children and Other Dependents):
I, too, have this same problem with Schedule 8812. After deleting the schedule per your instructions, can I later restore the schedule if I needed to? How would I do that?
(No offense, but deleting the schedule doesn’t feel like the problem is fixed. It feels more like placing a tape to cover over a warning light.)
Thanks for your help.
When asked about the child tax credit, if you do not have children simply enter a 0 for the amount received and the program will proceed without issue.
And yes, if you delete the form and later need to add it, it will be added for you automatically once you enter the data that generates it.
The program needs to ask all taxpayers the question even when dependents are not listed to ensure there is not a delay in processing the returns due to incomplete information for a large number of taxpayers who received advanced payments but will not be claiming their children this year.
