Sale of 2nd home is net proceeds what we took home or what we sold the unit for?

Net proceeds is what you took home, however for tax purposes what is needed to reported as income is the Net Sales Price.

Net Sales Price is the price it sold for, less selling expenses (sales commission, closing costs, etc.).
