It depends but if you have to relocate because of a PCS, nearly any ordinary and necessary moving out-of-pocket expense that is not reimbursed by the government is deductible. So if it was necessary to get a pet carrier, sedatives and release forms for the move, then you would be able to include these expenses as part of your moving expenses. Just remember to keep a record of your deductible moving expenses with your tax files for future reference.
