We file married joint in 2020, and our AGI was slightly above the eligibility threshold. Our 2019 AGI was substantially above the threshold. We did not receive a stimulus payment in 2020. Should we expect full/partial/no tax credit on our 2020 Federal Tax return?

The recovery rebate credit is based on your 2020 income. If your income is above the threshold you will not receive a stimulus check. The checks that were sent out in a hurry last year were based on 2018 or 2019 returns so that the money could be sent quickly. But the stimulus is really an advance credit that can be taken on your 2020 tax return. If your 2020 income is too high then you will not get it on your 2020 return or you will be subject to a phased out amount.
