We filed non filer through Intuit, we filed as a couple and claimed our minor son as a dependent, but we did not receive credit for him, can anyone explain why? We opted for direct deposit.

okay, the IRS is required to follow up via US MAil with a letter explaining what they did with in 15 days of you receiving the stimulus. Hopefully there is a dispute process noted in that letter!
you appear to have done everything correctly.
please take a look at the tax form itself. look at the line where your child's name is listed and then look ALL THEY WAY over to the right.... which box is checked? "child tax credit" or "other dependent tax credit"
let me know!
The form shows "Child Tax Credit" is checked off.
Thanks

That's kind of what I figured it was done right, is it possible they will make a separate deposit?
Thanks
@sim8t3 - not sure, suggest waiting for that IRS letter for guidance.
Well it's been 15+ days and all we got letter the other day it was a envelope from IRS with White House letter head rubber stamped by the President and it says your Economic Impact Payment Has Arrived" no explanation just a website address that is useless and an automated phone number also useless, I read somewhere online that due to non filers using TurboTax and IRS not having direct deposit info many who used this method did not receive a child payment and there is no info on how to remedy this, as you can see here, https://www.savingtoinvest.com/500-stimulus-check-for-dependent-children-eligibility-and-payment there is solution to wait till 2021 and file again the only other related issue was the deadline to file is for social security recipients which we are not. This really stinks! If we had done it through IRS.gov we would have gotten the payment. What makes matters worse is our child is special needs and is not receiving full services due to state incompetency 😡
