i have the same issue wherein TT is defaulting to Std deduction wherein my itemized is twice the amount of std deduction

Try using the detailed steps in the following TurboTax help article to change to itemized deductions instead of the standard deduction:

**Say "Thanks" by clicking the thumb icon in a post
**Mark the post that answers your question by clicking on "Mark as Best Answer"
