Stuck at the end of Deluxe won't let me e-file. This error won't go away: 1040/1040SR Wks: Charitable contributions: Charitable contributions has an unacceptable value.

I've made sure it's just a number in there, even tried reducing it to 0.  It just  keeps dumping me back at the screen saying there's one error I need to resolve before e-filing.

The system will populate screens for you to provide entries on based on what you have previously selected. It is possible that, although you are going back to that screen to alter the number in that field, that there might possibly be a screen prior to that where you've indicated that you have charitable deductions to enter.

New Deduction Available: Up to $300 in annual charitable contributions. This is available only to people who take the standard deduction (for taxpayers who do not itemize their deductions). It is an “above the line” adjustment to income that will reduce a donor’s adjusted gross income (AGI), and thereby reduce taxable income. Itemized deductions are "below the line" adjustments to income, and therefore come after the taxpayer's AGI has been calculated.

Please go back to the beginning of the questionnaire where it asks you about Charitable Donations. Follow this path:

1.  Click on the "Personal" tab at the top of your screen, then just under it click on the "Deductions and Credits" tab

2.  Then scroll down the page a little until you see the section titled "Charitable Donations", then select "Donations to Charity in 2020"

3.  You are now at the "Donations" page. Select "Yes" to proceed to the next section.

4.  You are now at the "Let's enter your donations one at a time" section. Enter a Charity Name, then click "Add" to the left of "Money".

If you enter any amount above $300 at this time, and you are a "single" filer and taking the standard deduction, you will receive an error message when you run the review. If you enter $300 even, you are fine. Or, you should be fine given all else is as I've stated. I hope this does the trick!
