Solar Panel Credit

I started a lease back in 1/31/2017 for solar panels. My question is, am I able to take the monthly fee as a credit on my 2020 tax return and if so where do I take it? I paid a total amount of 1,252.25.

No, since you are leasing the solar panels, you can't claim the credit. You can claim the credit if 

you owned the panels and paid for the installation of the panels.
